The SHGSR is a great place to learn about local history. Many resources are available to members and visitors at our documentation centre. Its impressive collection of local history books sits on many of our shelves and includes several hundred volumes, many of which are not available elsewhere, are out of print or have not been published. Documentary files, including newspaper clippings, photos and various documents, relating to the history of individuals, families and communities are also available for consultation. Our collection also includes volumes of general history, collections on the history of Western Canada, and a number of archival fonds relating to local organisations.
